Drama (Acting and Performance) ~ Program 15.1

Artist’s Context – Being involved in the drama production allowed me to explore the emotions of experiences
in Afghanistan through a monologue. It was a form of exposure therapy in a supported creative environment.
Having participated in exposure therapy in a clinical setting (Hospital PTSD program),
I found that doing it in a drama group or on stage far more beneficial.

Since leaving Defence I’ve been involved in Frontline Yoga,
and I’ve been cast as an extra in ‘Home & Away’ and appeared on ‘The Project’.
I find teaching yoga is a creative process. It requires a level of theatre and performance at times,
so I’ve included some clips for this Gallery that demonstrate the use of skills learned through the Drama stream.

Re-thinking the 'digger'

“More could be done… to provide help.” Capt. (ret.) Chris Thompson-Lang speaks about what ANZAC Day means to him and other veterans.
