Artist’s Context – Song: The Moment
This song is about bullying and the ultimate impact that it can have.
It was written not long after the loss of Dolly Everett (Outback teen suicide), 
a month or so after ARRTS Program 17.2 finished, and was presented at the
annual concert for students of my teacher/collaborator, Tara, in 2019.

Artist’s Context – Song: Shine
A friend was recently talking about the comparison between the relationship she’d just started and the bad (abusive) relationship she’d left before that, and the similarities and some of the same signs / behaviours were there. She said she knew the signs and recognised the similarities. She knows she’s smart, she’s counselled other friends about the same things but wasn’t quite taking her own advice.

She’s heard it since it was completed – the response was good. lol

Obviously Uluru is highly important in indigenous culture,
but also to non-indigenous understanding, and will be here long after we’re gone.
But things like the way we’re inventive, or pull together in the face of adversity,
those cultural qualities that for some unknown reason have endured, and transcend economy,
birth rates, immigration, politics, demographics, global influences, diseases, etc
